Yes, Central and Northern Vietnam is blowing typhoon season from Sep onwards...last year typhoon no 3 or Typhoon Yagi created huge damage to Northern Vietnam...although Lao Cai is not close to sea but the damage also big...

I advised all to avoid during this period...

Best time to visit Danang is from Dec to May...
