At the loud voice, Felix almost jumped out of his skin. His nerves were already stretched to the max as he waited nervously for everyone to go for lunch and now this?

“Wah seh bro! It’s TGI Friday lah, chill man! No need to work so hard lah!” Fariz grinned, “You want to get promoted issit? Siah lah, power lah you, work less than one year and you want Uncle Wong’s position liao ah?”

“H-haha, h-hahaha... N-no lah... Just need to, y-you know, finish this report... B-Boss wants it urgently lah...” Felix stuttered as he put together a lie quickly.

“S-sure! Thanks man!” Felix replied, heaving a silent sigh of relief.

“Nasi padang ok bro?”

“Ok, I want beef rendang, vege curry... and one egg. PayNow you ok?”

“Steady lah bro,” Fariz waved with a smile as he walked away.

As he watched Fariz leave the office, Felix quickly sprang into action, anxious to get everything done and over with before May leaves Boss’s office. He was terrified that she would leave for lunch with her bag, but she was called into Boss’s office just before lunch, giving him a great opportunity. Still, she’s in there for almost 15 minutes now, surely she won’t be in there any longer, right?

If he needs to do this, he’s got to do it fast. It’s now or never.

Felix shot up from his chair, almost tripping in his haste as he walked swiftly along the line of empty cubicles, carrying his laptop along with him. Admin…Admin… Ok, nice… No one... As he approached his destination, he turned his head to his left and right, looking around one more time to make sure he is alone before he ducked into May’s cubicle.

“Ok… Purse… right… Keys… Keys… Should be this one… Fuck!! Why so many!” He almost shouted aloud in frustration.

Shit… okaaayy… Calm down Felix… You can do this… He told himself.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself down, he resumed what he was there to do, “Now… Right cabinet… Right cabinet… Right cabinet… Okaayyy… Keys… Let’s try this… Fuck… Calm down Felix… Next key…” His fingers trembling as he fumbled with the keys, trying to be fast without jangling it and making noise. Finally, on his sixth attempt, he got it.

“YES!” Felix looked around guiltily, hoping no one heard his little cry of success. Seeing no one around, he went back to work, “Erm…. The code is… 912437… There...” Felix muttered softly under his breath as he struggled to get everything done in double-quick time.

“Okay… Hard-disk… hard-disk… Connect and copy… Shit... Why so much data? Four folders only why so big! Nabeh… Shitshitshitshitshit… Faster… Faster…” he panted as he connected the hard-disk to his laptop and began frantically copying.

3 minutes... 2 minutes... 1 minute... 23 seconds... Felix sweated the seconds away as he watched the fluttering numbers... Urging them on... Faster! Faster!

The moment he saw the green tick, he disconnected the USB, thrusting the hard disk back into the digital safe before he closed and locked the cabinet.

Just in time to find Kelly staring at him, an expression of shock and surprise on her face.
